I received a text message this morning concerning a package delivery. The message said my street number was missing. There was no tracking #.
ALERT- DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!My experience with this moving company was not as I expected. Not only did the owner, John, ask me how old I was in our initial conversation because I “sounded young,” he was rude leading up the move and his times for arrival kept changing. He also avoided my calls/texts. I had to get my mom to call him so he would answer his phone. Moving is already stressful enough and I did not feel as if I would be able to depend on him or his team. They surprisingly did show up almost on time, but John and one other mover came into my apt. with no mask on during a pandemic and did not have one- I had to give them both a mask to wear. Why didn’t he expect him or his team members to wear a mask? Also, my apt building does not allow people not to wear them. The experience was awkward and they wrapped all of my things in newspaper as opposed to neutral paper, which made me worry about my things being covered in ink. They also did not have any wardrobe boxes for my hanging clothes so they folded them in boxes. They also ran out of supplies when packing my stuff and did not tape all my boxes shut, but rather folded the tops. Finally, they packed my things without thought or strategy and had to take everything out of my storage unit to repack it. Although their prices are cheap, I would have gone with another company to avoid the hassle and stress. John’s team was nice and hardworking, but my conversations with John were uncomfortable, unprofessional, he makes excuses and is condescending. He is also irresponsible with his team and I heard them arguing because they had not been informed about another job following mine. John also got in an argument with my mom when she asked him to pack my lamps. He said “Didn’t you see us putting the boxes and paper away? Now I have to get another box!” And he tried to make this situation feel like our fault. I’m a military Veteran with several moves under my belt and the most important thing to me is a company with integrity-do not hire this company for your move. This is the worst pack job I have ever seen and it actually makes me sad to see my possessions treated this poorly. Had I done a larger move, I could have seen this going much much worse than it did, SAVE YOURSELF THE TROUBLE.
Mail delivery is inconsistent. Some days it arrives at noon others 9pm . Yesterday was a normal day to get informed delivery and wait on the mail that was imaged in my email as coming to only be let down by no delivery at all on a few streets. Something told me to stop the mailman and ask but I didn’t want to be rude . Nice guys finish last . Hire more carriers and get organized usps
Drivers incorrectly placed POD twice. Second time when I called to get it repositioned, they tried to charge me for it.$75!!! Customer service phone operators are useless and kept me on hold for 15-30 minutes at a time. Would not answer questions, one actually lied to me about the invoice I was looking at. Wasn’t allowed to speak with manager/supervisor.
