The removals men were rude, 2 of 3 couldn’t speak any English at all so communication was difficult, another van of men ‘helpers’ randomly turned up and started taking things from my garden to the main lorry, I saw them close the back door of their van but apparently they didn’t put anything inside(!?) although I’ve since realised a few boxes are missing. There was not much care & attention when carrying large items upstairs so walls and wallpaper was scuffed. They argued there was too much stuff despite everything being listed in detail and videoed for the quote. Have been in touch with the office to give feedback and try to resolve but not had a response.
I had a package shipped to me from China via DHL Express. It was first scanned August 29th departing China, then reached Calgary via Ohio by August 31st.
Supposedly Loomis made a delivery attempt on the 1st, 2nd, 3rd & 4th and marked it as recipient not home. Similar to the other reviewers, there was no attempted delivery slip left, nor did I receive a buzzer call from the main door to our apartment building from Loomis requesting access…I know this because our buzzer connects directly to my cell.
If this was a once off I would probably just brush it off as a bad experience, but this isn’t the first time this has happened.
Last year I ordered a camera from the US prior to leaving on a 9 month trip, knowing that we were leaving in just under 2 weeks I paid extra for express shipping via DHL. After having the exact same thing happen (multiple attempted delivery attempts with no notification left at the apartment) we ended up having to wait outside our apartment building the day that we ended our lease for 3 hours in hope that our numerous complaints would result in an actual delivery attempt.
To put it frankly, if I could rate Loomis zero I would. Their complete disregard for their customers makes me wonder why DHL continues to use them as a delivery partner.
If you are Canmore / Banff based and have the option of using UPS or Canmore Courier, do it!
Given that my package is now being held in Calgary, it looks like I will have to pay another courier to pick it up and deliver it to me.
Good thing I have tracking number and I look to its logistics provider Xpost. It was already in Kalibo in LBC. Sad for this delay.
It’s good to deliver items here. They accept the items even thou it was so heavy. They make sure your items will be deliver in short period of time. Keep up the good work. God Bless.
