Nothing is there to be liked. Tremendous non-professional, non-committed and irresponsible system. Always, the contact people will pass the whole responsibility to others. Worst experience. Will advise people not to use their service.

Nice staff but for goodness sake why for the majority of the time have 1 counter open?
You can bet your bottom dollar there will be 1 counter open post 4pm, just when it’s the busiest.
Be prepared for a minimal wait of 30 minutes, no joke.

‘Doesnt do online bookings or anything. Ended up being a 4 hour queue line, e.g waiting there from 10.30 – 11.30 and still no-one, laziest manager

Graham and Vidya showed a great deal of patience and customer care by helping me with some formalities at the post office today. Their service is much appreciated.

I had an initial problem with the services of 6 Brothers Removalist, but following a most empathetic follow up phone call from one of the owners who has now won my respect, I am giving this company the thumbs up.
I will describe my initial problem followed by the phone call I had from one of the owners.
    INITIAL ISSUE
I wanted an electric piano moved from an upstairs apartment to house upstairs. When the removalists arrived at the house, they decided that moving the electric piano upstairs would be too difficult. They said if I wanted to have the piano upstairs I would need to help them physically carry the piano as a third pair of hands AND pay them $150 extra.
As a background, prior to committing to the removalist booking, I had specifically checked with the removalist company that they could move the electric piano, including upstairs. It was the only object to be moved. I specifically declared that it was to be moved down one level of stairs at an apartment and up one level of stairs at a house. They gave me a quotation of $259 over the phone. They allocated 2 men to the job. I wanted to be sure that there were no “hidden catches” and wanted them to confirm that the job could be performed for this price of $259. The staff member asked me to send her a photo and would confirm with another team member. She confirmed that the job could be done by her men for the price of $259.
When the truck arrived, and I told the removalist I wanted the piano up the stairs he said it was too difficult for 2 men and the attempt could damage my property. I said that I was happy to be a third pair of hands. He said if I helped him move it up the stairs it could be possible, but I’d have to accept the risk of damage to the piano and house for which he would not be responsible. In addition I’d have to pay an extra $150. I was very disappointed. I asked if they could do it for $75 extra. The removalist refused, and said he could lower the additional charge to $100. We aborted moving the electric piano upstairs.
I was disappointed. The issue of the stairs was well known to the company when the order was taken. It is documented on the job order along with the price of $259. If I had known that the removalist at the last minute was going to bump up the price by $100 to $150 to complete the intended job, I would have sought another company.
FANTASTIC FOLLOW UP BY ONE OF THE OWNERS
I initially posted the above issue and rated the service as “2 star”.
Shortly afterwards, one of the owners of the company “Ronnie” rang me up to debrief and hear my concerns. He was so understanding. He essentially wanted to know how he could make my experience with his company a happy experience rather than one of frustration. He seemed very genuine about this. Indeed he said he was happy to come in personsonally with the 2 men to get the piano up the stairs, at no additional charge.
Having discussed the issue subsequently with family we decided to keep the piano downstairs. Having found a spot downstairs, it seemed to fit in better than expected and there is the worry about the risk of damage going up stairs.
I decided to amend my review and change the service opinion to 5 star based on the following.
Malalignment of expectation and problems are unavoidable in any business. The true test of a business is perhaps not when things go well, but how things are handled when problems emerge. Ronnie’s clear determination to ensure that the customer was happy and the due courtesy and empathy he displayed is to be highly commended. Ronnie is part of running a large business, and I am astonished that he was willing to come out personally to rectify the issue. It’s the mark of a committed owner valuing customer satisfaction. Ronnie has won my respect and earned his company 5 star!
