Below is my old review from last year. I insisted on using the same company because we had a great experience with them last time! Professional, friendly, and efficient!! The team was great!!
    ——Review from 2020——
Great movers!!! The movers I scheduled from the UHaul website 3 weeks before my moving date didn’t show and was told they were in a car wreck after I reached out to them, so I had find someone available same day. The move was easily scheduled and they were able to give me a quote instantly. The movers were impressively efficient and friendly!! The movers were responsive and prompt. They made sure everything in my old unit was moved and nothing was left behind. Highly recommend!!

Average company. You come across good ppl that work there and bad ppl that work there. There is no middle line. If you have a family be prepared to put work first. They say home every weekend but it’s more or less your 34 hr reset. Saturday morning is their opinion of home weekends but they expect you 5-8 hours away for a Monday 6am appointment. Always remember, they go home everyday. No load refusal allowed. Regardless of how much Money and time you will lose. Remember it’s a business even though they print “family” on their trailers. Pay is about average. Schneider and Cowan OTR scale basically(54-55 cpm). Definitely better than Western Express and Swift. Local pay has no overtime so 55 hrs of straight pay at $19 per hr to start. If not a little better if you are willing to put in more time than you should to make a living in the trucking business honestly. Local work is a lot of waiting to be loaded and unloaded. Be sure to beef up on unlimited data. OTR detention pay stinks. $15 per hr after you wait the first 2 hrs. I’ve spent 10 hr breaks on numerous occasions. It happens often. They tell you direct loads(dsd) pay more which it does. But you rarely get them. Guaranteed to receive a paycheck if you notify them on the Qualcomm weekly. If not you might miss out on a weeks pay. Very frustrating to work all week and notice you didn’t get paid. They are very nice to help you out at the payroll department. The dispatchers have been there for ever so they expect you to wake up after your 10 hr beak, some times even your 8 hr, and deliver the load. It’s in your best interest to do so to capitalize on the available freight. Once again it’s a business so sleep is optional when they prepare a profitable load. No matter what type of money you intended to make at Carlise Carriers for that week be prepared to be thrown a wrench and have your expectation minimized. Average take home was $1000-$1300. I believe I made about five or six weeks out the year of $1300+ but not by much. Too much freight but not enough drivers is the story they sell. But if you needed a good week there was never enough freight. Well any that paid well enough. Reasonable goal was 400-500 miles per day. But expect 525 miles today and 224 miles tomorrow. Lots of money left on the table with C&S loads. Lancaster, NY and almost every other C&S loads. As long as you follow the load and avoid incidents the dispatchers leave you alone. They are never on your back. Well once you get away from orientation Julie. Buffalo to MD to Maine was my main routes. Virginia and Ohio plus some other straggler states along the way may have appeared. But I stayed mostly in the above triangle. Recommendations: All in all this is a good starter company after you received your experience through Western Express, Warner, Swift, ect. No getting rich here. No family time here. This company will be a better option than other OTR Like Cowan, Schneider, and others if you do go that route. Local job pay isn’t good but the job isn’t hard at all. And for the most part they’ll find something for you to do to get paid. You’ll learn the real ins and outs of what trucking in the northeast is like at Carlise Carriers.
