Very very dissapointing, especially after good reviews.
After I filled out contact form, a highly professional person contacted me immediiately to get details on the move. They asked if I could do 10/31 versus 10/30, which I asked for, I said that was fine.
Received estimate and when called to give credit card I am told that date was not available, it was given to someone else. I was told that they do not agree on dates until they get a credit card. Was also told they don’t know why someone would have agreed on a date like that.
All this after I make arrangements efffecting others to be out by 10/31. Move is now scheduled with them for 11/8.
Really poor way to treat people.
It’s my 2nd time using Two men and a moving van service. 1st time no issues at all, but that’s like 2 years ago. But my most recent move made me regret why I chose this service.
Several issues with the move and at times i felt they lack basic knowledge.
1. For example bedroom had both bed and a standing desk. They tried to move the standing desk 1st while they should have moved bed as that would have left more room for them to move the standing desk later. As a result there is a dent on the wall and part of the desk cut away. After I have called this out, they did add wrap to the desk. But the damage is already done.
2. Have 2 mattresses. The wrap they got only filled 1/4 th of one of the mattresses. That’s it. Rest of the mattresses and the 2nd one not covered at all. Result ? Stains all over.
3. (2/4) dining chairs have scratches on the handles. I was not there watching everything, I could only see this after move is done.
4. At the destination, we asked them to wear shoe covers as we had carpet and do not want unwanted marks and dust. We got a rude reply here – Contact my boss and we only do this way. Did i see that coming ? Can’t they be more polite ?
5. To add insult to injury, movers used the tape i got at home for taping the things. Didn’t even care to ask my permission. I just shut my mouth all along just not to get into argument.
After seeing all these horrible things, i had to ask movers to unload most of the stuff in the garage as I cannot trust them to move things safely into my home. All the money paid just wasted.
This is the least we expect from movers, be professional, courteous and move things safely and with covers over things (There are expensive things). I should have gone with other movers but just went with them as I had previous good experience but not anymore. Do not recommend this service at all.
