Fast pickup. Came into door 120 as people said. But this is for delivery.
To pick up the load you have to use door near docks 84-85.
Tried 5 different times to place a hold on maill while we were out of town. Finally had to go to the post office as the website was not working. Really awful experience.
I used Homesafe Transit as the broker for my move from Denver, CO to Oakland, CA. Green Planet Movers ended up being the company responsible for the move. The three guys who showed up to pack my things were AMAZING. They were punctual (communicated with me before they showed up and the day of and showed up right when they said they would), quick, careful and incredibly professional. I thought to myself if that kind of service was what I had to look forward to, this move was going to be one for the books.
I wish I could say my prediction was accurate.
The three guys who ended up delivering my items did a decent job. My issue is that the majority of my boxes, many of them which had fragile written on them in big letters, looked as if they had been tossed around in the truck. The edges were smashed, boxes were partially opened (I took a lot of time to double and even triple tape the boxes when I packed everything). I ended up with some broken drinking glasses and the glass bowl for my Kitchenaid stand mixer was in pieces. I even had a special message on that box to be extra careful with it.
I know it’s tricky to say where and when the damages occurred since there were two sets of movers but based on how careful the first set of movers were with my things, it’s hard to imagine that my boxes and items ended up in their delivered state with them.
Another issue I had was with the delivery window. I specifically had the movers show up at least a week earlier than I would be leaving Denver so I wouldn’t spend more than a week without my things. The delivery date ended up being pushed back a whole week after I was told it would be there. Then I finally got a call from the driver and he said they would be delivering my things Friday, just a few days after the actual delivery date. The delivery window provided came and went. When I asked the driver about it, he said he was trying to get his guys on the phone but they were ignoring his call. That was definitely a red flag for me but at this point what could I do.
All in all, it wasn’t the worst experience I’ve had with movers but would probably not recommend them to anyone.
Serghei and Andrey were excellent! Very efficient, helpful and professional. They arranged our storage in the most rational way to utilize the space and protect packages. We’ll hire them again when needed. Highly recommend their service.
