   Excuse me, when will the luggage cover and luggage straps I bought about half a month ago arrive? I have been abroad for a few days!

   The crew we had on 10/5/2018 in Alameda, CA, was stellar. They took great care in packing and loading our household belongings for a cross-country move. I highly recommend Nor-Cal. The delivery end, however, was a disaster. The truck was days late, and when it arrived, the crew on the unloading end (not Nor-Cal) did not re-assemble any of the furniture as promised. They left our refrigerator out on the front porch and it was damaged in the sub-freezing temperatures. Several items were lost in transit, including the base to a family heirloom antique bookcase. They ripped off the sides of our gas grill, dragged it through the mud, scattering the BBQ tools in the mud along the way. They did not put most of the boxes in the rooms they were marked for– they just heaped them in the garage. I don’t know who Allied Van Lines contracted for the unloading end, but it was a very, very disappointing experience. I did file delay, damage and lost items claims with Allied, but it was hardly any compensation for what we went through.

   We found these movers through Smooth Transitions when moving my parents to a senior living apartment. This was a very stressful and busy time for my parents who are in their middle 80s. I can’t say enough about how Gus answered all their questions, was quick in always responding and made them feel comfortable with their decision to use their company. Mike and Kyle who packed and moved them could not have been more accommodating (and strong). They packed up specific items, cabinets, and closets leaving what was not to move in a very organized manner. And they made the over 3 hour move in one day, unpacking at their apartment the very next day. They were gentle with their furniture and worked well with the unpackers at the apartment. I honestly don’t know how they do so much and keep going, always there to answer a question or take a request.
   Highly recommend this company!
