Bhavin is literally the best employee EVER!!! He is so helpful and kind to all of his customers. He makes you feel important and highly valued as a customer at every single visit. I send packages off months apart, but Bhavin remembers me as he does all his customers. UPS is great, but Bhavin is a one of a kind jewel. God bless you Bhavin!!!

These guys were great! Very professional. They helped me with somethings that were not part of their job. I would recommend them to everyone.

UPDATE: After writing this review, Colonial Van Lines reached out to me, and we came to a settlement, which my rating has been updated to reflect. However, I still encourage you to read my initial review below to see why a settlement needed to be reached in the first place.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!! It is full of a bunch of liars and cheats. First off, Colonial doesn’t move your stuff. They are simply a broker and hire third-party companies to do the move. As such, there is very little control over what Colonial tells you and what the movers actually do. Honestly, I wasn’t even sure I wanted to use this company from the start. I talked over the phone with an agent who gave me an estimate and forced me into going through with the process, stating that I was being given a great deal that would expire if I hung up. That should have been a red flag, but I went through with it anyway (later to find out this wasn’t a “great deal” at all). Up until the pick-up of my items, I will say the process went smoothly. I was contacted by several different people (a bit too many, in my opinion) to make sure the process was going well. The movers showed up at the date and time requested. But from the minute I met the movers, everything went downhill. First of all, I was a bit thrown off when I saw a smaller Penske truck arrive instead of the 18-wheeler I was told to expect. The movers didn’t speak English well, and I was concerned when they rushed me into signing a bunch of documents without reading them first. I was supposed to receive a bunch of forms which I did not, and I called Colonial telling them this, who said they would e-mail them to me. They never did.
The nightmare truly arrived upon delivery. Only a couple of days en-route to my new location without having arrived and even having a place to live, I received notification that my furniture was ready to be delivered. Unfortunately, I had to decline, which started a truly miserable experience. This is where the lies began From that point, I was told it would be a week until my items were delivered. I was promised a Monday or Tuesday. Then I was promised Tuesday between 8 am and 12 pm. That was then pushed to Wednesday between 8 am and 12 pm, Thursday between 6 and 8 pm, Friday between 8 am and 12 pm, Friday between 5 and 9 pm. On Friday around noon I received a call directly from the movers stating they were just about to head out and would arrive close to midnight Saturday morning, even though the agents I spoke with at Colonial had said the movers left long ago. Clearly, the customer service and agents are useless and will lie to you to save themselves. On top of that, they did not always call back when they said they would.
The movers finally arrived with my furniture…at 10:30 PM (yes, late at night). But imagine my surprise when I saw a different truck pull up, with different movers. So somewhere along the way my furniture was transferred from one truck to another. Somehow I received everything (minus a small wastebasket…not a huge deal), and except for a few smashed boxes, everything was pretty much intact. I did receive a discount due to the late delivery of the furniture, but in my mind, it wasn’t enough.
I laugh at Colonial responding to the other negative reviews by saying that “customer satisfaction” is their “top priority” and providing the phone number to upper management. I’ve already tried calling that number, and they’re just as useless. Colonial couldn’t care less about customer satisfaction. In fact, I was supposed to get a call from an “executive” or whatever after I told the customer service department about my experience. I haven’t heard a thing since. All Colonial cares about is the money, and if they’re willing to satisfy half of their customers, they seem to be happy. In reality, this company should not be allowed to stay in business.

My friend ordered me a package through Walmart and it was shipped by FedEx. I live in a duplex and my friend did not put the specific apartment (1 of 2 apartments). They refused to deliver that day because of it. He called and tried to rectify the issue and they told him it was resolved. The next day, however, they refused to deliver the package for unspecified reasons, and then refused to talk to my friend about the issue. My friend then contacted Walmart and Walmart tried to speak to FedEx. He was placed on hold for about three hours. In the end, FedEx refused to deliver the package at all for unspecified reasons. Walmart is now deciding to ship the same package through a different service. Avoid if you can, these folks are impossible to work with, and potentially thieves.
