I’ve moved many times and Express Moving & Storage was the worst moving experience I’ve ever had. When Sayeed and his team showed up at 6pm to pick up my items, he doubled my price and threatened to leave if I didn’t sign a contract and pay the additional charge on the spot. He then cursed at and physically threatened my neighbor when my neighbor asked his team to be careful with their rickety metal hand cart on our 100-year-old staircase. Last, his team broke off a wooden panel on my building’s front door. When I submitted the repair receipt to Tatiana in the customer service department, who promised to respond to me repeatedly but didn’t, Sayeed blatantly lied and said he hadn’t damaged anything, despite the fact I’d shown it to him and taken a photograph. I can’t say enough negative things about the experience I had with this company.
I think they get most of their jobs subcontracted from national moving companies (as mine was) so you might not have any choice about getting them. But if you’re researching on your own, DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.
Customer service has been top notch. I tried booking online, but the biggest unit was unavailable for the date of delivery I needed so I called to inquire about availability. The lady on the phone was super helpful, explained they didn’t have the largest size available until a week after we needed it, but explained the medium size POD would suffice for the size of our home. The entire transaction took less than 20 minutes to schedule, pay for, and go over terms and conditions. I received an email the day before delivery that our POD would be delivered between 9:30-12:30 but once again the customer service was exceptional and Ron was actually an hour and a half EARLY! I work from home, so I wasn’t concerned with the time frame but was amazed that delivery was made early. I HIGHLY recommend using PODs!
Jose, Manny, and Mike we’re champs. We booked our move prior to the pandemic and the movers not only kept their appointment but wore masks and gloves as were required by our building. The move took longer than anticipated but they kept working carefully and diligently until we were all moved in. Would move with them again! Thanks guys!
