   How does a package get from Ca to Ga in 1 1/2 days. But has been sitting 8 miles away from not moving now for 3 days. I dont think this is a location thing as much as a DHL thing. Never happens with UPS USPS FEDEX. I will not ever buy online from anyone who uses DHL this is it. Tomorrow is my son’s birthday and this gift has been sitting right down the road since early Tuesday. Wish I could give negative stars.

   Mayflower made an inherently stressful and expensive situation exponentially more stressful and expensive. I strongly recommend against using them for any move.
   I used Mayflower to move from Washington, D.C. to Salt Lake City, Utah. It sub-contracted with Alpha/Hilldrup in Stafford, Virginia for my move. They packed my belongings on April 26th, and I was given a window of May 2-10 for delivery in Utah. However, their salesman, Ben Frakes, told me that things usually arrive toward the beginning of that window. That was the first lie. Instead, my belongings did not arrive until May 13th, seventeen days after they were packed. Turns out they sat in a warehouse in Virginia for eight days. Then they were packed on a truck with items for another family for delivery in Denver beginning on May 10. So from the moment my belongings left Virginia, Mayflower/Alpha/Hilldrup knew they would not meet their delivery commitment to me. Despite this, my moving specialist, Ann Carvajal, kept telling me that my belongings would arrive on time–another lie. When it became clear they could not, I spoke with her manager, Mary Rodgers, who gave me conflicting and inaccurate information each time we spoke. The truck–already late–literally went over one thousand miles out of its way and drove from Denver to Boise, before doubling back to me in Utah. Mary promised that I would receive additional compensation for these problems, but I did not–another lie. And all this time I was paying rent in Utah and a mortgage in DC, while sleeping in my parent’s basement because Mayflower/Alpha/Hilldrup was unable to perform the only task for which they exist. I emailed the Alpha/Hilldrup president and did not even receive the courtesy of a response. All this for $5500 for a one bedroom. In addition, multiple items were broken beyond repair and they lost the shelf pins for two cabinets, rendering them basically useless.
   The only reason I have given two stars is because the men who did the actual moving in DC and Utah were very professional and competent. Everyone else there is absolutely incompetent and dishonest. They couldn’t care less about you. They have everything you own in the world, and you’ve paid them thousands of dollars. They know there’s nothing you can do but wait and hope your stuff arrives. I strongly advise against using them.

   Best moving company I’ve ever hired to move my furniture!! Incredible rate, quick, proficient, and professional. I recommend them to anyone who needs movers.
