It’s amazing what you read in these reviews. They only have one pen!, The drivers are slow! and Why so many Asians! Seriously? I suspect that people just write reviews to vent about a particular unpleasant experience, as if it will make them feel better or something.
While the post office is not the friendliest environment, I personally have no problems with it. The lines may be long, so plan around them; the USPS is the most affordable way to mail many items, so of course they’re going to take forever with so many people wanting things mailed. Common sense people! Also, if the employees aren’t absolutely thrilled to meet you, don’t act so surprised. Long hours in a less-than-stimulating environment, something you all are probably familiar with, has a tendency to drain enthusiasm especially when serving a bunch of ungrateful customers who wail like children when the pen doesn’t work.
Oh and about the Asian thing; if you have a problem with federal employees hiring Asians, then post office inconveniences are the least of your problems. The US is, shockingly, a fairly diverse nation and if the USPS doesn’t meet your racial qualifications then you’re perfectly welcome to go somewhere else.
In short, I find the post office is just fine for what it’s intended. It’s cheap, fairly dependable and since I don’t expect it to cater to the consumer is always right philosophy, the inconveniences I do encounter don’t bother me too much. I can’t speak for others of course, if the rest of these reviews are any indication.

African American guy works there is terrible. I was with my brother and he asked us to wait outside of USPS. So we waited outside and came inside again because people behind of us went to inside. He showed up again, pointed only us and want us wait outside again. I said why only my brother and I need wait outside.I really hope he didn’t pick on us because we are Asian but can’t think of anything.
