    Monarch Movers on a Scale from 1 to 10 would achieve no higher score that 2 from us. When we were getting ready to move from Yorktown, VA. To Little River, SC we secured several bids from several movers. Monarch Movers gave us a competitive Bid and agreed to take a high-end Elliptical Machine out of our home as part of the payment. We agreed to pack all our belongings and the price for the entire move was 6 thousand dollars plus the Elliptical. This included all packaging materials picking up our belongings in Yorktown VA and moving to Little River, SC with a 4 day hold on the materials. Arron and Wayne were very aggressive securing our business, making many promises. We received used boxes for the packaging of dishes and wardrobes. I picked up boxes two more times and received used and new in the mix along with paper and tape. The return phone calls were slow always accompanied with some form of an excuse and apology. Come moving day the team shows up and starts moving our furniture and packed boxes into the truck there were three guys all very polite and professional but moved very slow. Also, our furniture was not wrap and protected as well as had been promised. Please note that Wayne and Arron had been to the house three times and had seen all our furniture and belongings. The truck they sent with the team was to small and the moving team ended up sitting around for at least three hours waiting for Wayne to show up with another truck. Therefore, our belongings were in two trucks.
    The delivery of the furniture also represented some significant issues as well. After my furniture was picked up, I get a call from Arron insisting on additional funds for payment of packaging materials that we supposed to be included in the total price originally quoted. Thus, my furniture and belongings are now held hostage unless I agree to paying for the packaging materials. Therefore, I agreed to pay it and the funds were immediately charge to my credit card.     Not respectful of appointment time. I believe that our time as costumers should be respected the same way that they expect their time to be respected. If you have compromises following your appointment know that you are going to take a while before being attended.
    They are very strict with their appointment times and this is the same as taking walk-ins. It doesn’t make sense.

    Friendly, efficient service every time. Today I mistakenly left my credit card at the store. Even though they were super busy with holiday customers they found time to track me down and call to let me know. THANK YOU! And five stars well deserved.
