    Our post office closed on Pico. Since then, I’ve had to deliver packages to my neighbors in the next building, across the street, the next block over and the next street over, because they were left at my address, though the packages weren’t addressed to me. I’ve had my mail delivered to neighbors, packages lost, packages delivered to Inglewood cemetery. (I live in Los Angeles.)I’ve been instructed to pick up packages at the post office, but they were gone when I got there, even though I went within the required time. (They were being returned to me, so I don’t know what they did with them. ) I was told that I had mail on hold, only to find out that it wasn’t when I went to pick it up. When I got there was told that mail can only be placed on hold in person not by phone, yet they didn’t explain that when I talked to them. Also, I noticed that there’s a like to place hold’s on mail online, which means you don’t have to be in the office. Shaking My Head. I read the other reviews. A lot of packages are lost.
    OMG! That review was written at least three years ago. Now, here I go again. There were four packages to be delivered, two from Ebay, two from Amazon. They were unable to deliver anything for two days for an unspecified reason. Each day they said they’d try again. The third day, I placed a note on the mail box explaining which apartment belongs to me. I also put a note on the door, even though the address is above the door and off to the left top. Since two attempts to deliver were made at about five o’clock and a second attempt was made after 7 pm, I decided to wait on the stairs for the mail starting at 4:45 pm. I waited until 8: 00 pm. Nothing. Maybe they came before then, but they would have seen the note. I’m waiting to see what time they say that they attempted delivery. Meanwhile, I called the post office before sitting on the stairs. The phone rang at least 15 times,, I was on hold for an hour and they said that they’d put it on hold for me. Then, I read the old review. I have to put it on hold in person. It also means that they can’t say that they didn’t deliver because it would be on hold, because it didn’t apply. So, how come I saw no post person on either side of the street? Did they skip us today?
