Overall I did not receive the customer service that’s displayed in many of these reviews. I went into this UPS store at 7778 McGinnis Ferry just before they closed shop. I apologized to the lady for showing up before closing but my regular location had some issue and closed earlier. She didn’t seem to care about my explanation but I digress. I had 2 packages to deliver and used UPS shipping boxes. I do not recall in all my deliveries being charged for this but I was charged about $10 extra for a xsmall and small box on top of the actual ground delivery services. She did not bubble wrap my items nor did she suggest a more economical way to get them shipped. such as a the bags used with the built in bubble wrap. On top of this, once she realized I had an additional package (she must have tuned me out when I told her this), she boxed it (this could have gone in a bag) and threw it on the scale. I’m still confused by her attitude as I was pleasant to her from start to finish. More interesting was the fact that her demeanor completely changed when a woman came in that she obviously knew. She was very pleasant and lively with her- but as soon as that woman left, the gloom clouds returned. Frankly, I won’t use this location again but I am most concerned with my items getting to their destinations without damage and also I need an explanation on why I was charged additional fees as shown on my receipt. If this was an error and I was overcharged, I will come back and at least post how it was resolved after speaking with someone at that location, once they are open.
Horrible. I came in to return a package and at the time didn’t think to ask for a receipt because there was tracking on my label I brought in. Now it’s been over a month and it looks like I never stepped foot through the door because the clerk never scanned my package. When I came back into the post office after a few weeks to ask about it, it was the same clerk and she says to me I should have asked for a receipt. If I go to UPS they just hand me a receipt or at least ask if I want one AND scan my package in front of me. But now I know, ALWAYS get a receipt and never go to the Scituate post office because they may keep your package.
