    What a nightmare…Don’t use them! Sorry this is a long read but I need to vent! I contracted with Cal State Moving to do my cross country move. I really liked the person I spoke to on the phone and they had a 4.5 star rating. My original pick up date was scheduled for 8/17 at 11am. 11am comes & goes no movers no phone call. I call them. Their truck broke down & are waiting for a mechanic. They will call me back and let me know. 3 pm rolls around, I call them again. The truck is being towed. So we schedule a new pick up date of 8/18 at 10am. 730pm on the 8/17, I got a call that they would be there in 45 minutes. I told them no, we are already scheduled for the next morning and that they can’t be loading the truck at midnight. The next day rolls around, 10am comes and goes, no movers and no phone call. I should have cancelled!! I called them. Stuck in traffic?? Lies, Lies They did another job before mine. They got there at 130pm & didn’t leave until 530pm. I should have looked at their truck before they left but I didn’t . They were in a hurry and I was tired. I paid extra to have 4 of my paintings packed by them and I gave them the dimensions of all of them. They didn’t bring the right size boxes so my last and most expensive painting was packed jerry rigged with a garment box. I didn’t know they didn’t put a blanket or wrap my filing cabinet, bicycle, lamps and vacuum cleaner until the delivery happened. So I asked for a delivery date of 8/25. 8/25 no delivery and no phone call. Called them, they are waiting to assign a driver. I called them pretty much daily. Still no driver. So finally on 8/27 I asked them.. Where is my stuff?? It was still in a warehouse in Hayward!!! In the meantime, my old cell doesn’t work here, so I had to get a new cell phone and number which I gave them and they never gave to the driver. 9/4, they may have a driver & would call later with the details. Not. Finally 9/14, I get a phone call from them that the driver has been trying to call me. I gave them a new # since my old phone didn’t work here. They obviously had my right number since they called me. Anyway, they gave the driver my right number and he did call me. We set up a delivery for 9/15 and he said yes they would have to get a shuttle to deliver my stuff to me for an additional $1250. Ugh. I called the main office and got that cut by 25% at least but still I had to pay them almost $3500 at delivery. He called me in the morning of the 15th and said they would be here at 3pm. Well 3pm comes and goes. No phone call. Called him, they are running behind and should be at my house at 630pm. 630pm, I call, they are half way loading the truck and are 45 minutes away In New Jersey! Lies again!! They finally arrive at my house at 930pm, pitch black at my house in a truck that is covered in graffiti. Not to mention, no masks in sight. Of course they wanted the cash first. When he opened the back of the truck, OMG. Most of the boxes had collapsed. And I only had my cell phone flashlight to look at stuff. My bike was missing the front tire. It came off I’m not sure if it’s broke yet or not. The metal 2 drawer filing cabinet is so bent, I can’t open the drawers. The 2 lamps are bent and unusable. The vacuum cleaner is missing a vital piece for operation. I had a heavy duty large plastic bin that the top is destroyed. Halfway through the main driver asked if I was going to take care of them I’m assuming he meant a tip. Seriously. Anytime, I mentioned any damage, he got very defensive. So when they finally got things in, the first thing I did was unwrap that painting that wasn’t wrapped properly. And guess what, the frame is cracked! My jewelry box has damage and that’s just the first few things. So now I have to deal with them for a claim. Based on what they’ve done so far, I’m not holding my breath! But I do finally have my stuff now. Now I just need to unpack and see what else I find. Then get my claim filed

    I have been working with Destination transport for about 8 months.
    They are GREAT! Very responsive, and they get the job done, no questions asked. All of their staff are friendly and helpful. I would recommend them to everyone!
