Worst service, time and again, first time they lost my parcel, none of the staff will attend the depot if you go to drop at barking depot, staff are not bothered at all about the customers even if they see from the window in the barking depot they wouldnt bother to answer the call bell they ignore you this has happen a couple of time, will use them, not even fit to give a star to them
Bhutan chicken momos is nice and spicy, cheese momo are nice and cheesy 😀
Do ask for chilli chutney cos it’s out of this world!
Our experience with GCVL was just terrible. In May my wife asked a quote to GVCL- it was at 4500lb. They claimed industry standard 650 cubic feet multiplied 7 (?!?). In the next days we updated our List of Goods to make sure we had a better estimate. Ignored.
During the first phone call though, they gave us only one option, the Minimum weight 4000lbs and delivery in three days. There was, conveniently, no mention of other (longer) options. We are first movers and we trusted GCVL, especially around the weight, and we accepted (unfortunately) that clause – busy mom decisions – blame on us!
It turned out that our real weight was around 2000lbs. We ended up paying, in our estimate, 1500 CAD more than we should have because of A) GCVL only mentioned the most expensive option, conveniently hiding the cheapest B) the estimated weight (over the phone) was double the real one.
GCVL rejected a refund and encouraged us to go to BBB: you accepted [a contract] and that we honoured. They passively aggressively answered to our emails that it was my wife’s misunderstanding, pushing the burden on us. It was indeed our mistake to trust them with our business, we naively thought they would not take advantage of us like they did. Look for a company with more integrity – this will save you money and mental energy.
EDIT: of course this is my side of the story, take it as is. I posted the review after filing to BBB to try and see if they would listen, not really hoping for much – nothing can save you from the contract you signed, only good will. GVCL will do everything to enforce the contract, mentioning that that’s what they delivered, according to customer request (paraphrasing here). They definitely delivered frustration onto our family.
Pathetic. No proper timings are followed. Office opening time is 10am. We had to wait more than an hour. We were waiting since 9:30am to 11am.
