Excellent service! One thing to point out, even though the terminal doesn’t open on Weekends, they can put your locked pods/trailer out side of the fence, then you can move with your movers’ truck.
Management and movers were very nice. However, the owner underestimated the job by a couple of thousand dollars. A 1 1/2 day move was almost 4 days. It was a two truck four person job, and two people one truck was sent. We were charged for the extra time and the extra truck.
Many of my items were damaged and we received a check which barely covered the damage to be repaired on ONE item. I’ve learned my lesson to never go with an hourly rate, and go with a fixed rate. This was actually a nightmare. From our move to our old house to our move to our new house, this was the biggest negative we incurred.
We had to fight for every dollar we got back and it was minimal. We never got reimbursed for the extra time that the move took. We were blamed because the owner said that we chose to take more things from the original estimate, which was not true.
I also told him I would pack my own collectibles and he suggested to let them do it because they are insured. It took one FULL day for two guys to wrap up my collectibles. A regret on my end to be sure. And guess what? Some of my collectibles were broken by them.
I gave them lunch each day as they had not packed their own food, and I tipped them handily at the end of what was a tremendous move. The move that should have been shorter was not their fault.
