Actually had a schedule miss hap with them, but everyone was very polite and professional and they took care of everything for us.
I strongly recommend avoiding WayFlowers Van Lines/International Van Lines. Bottom line, they are extremely unprofessional, are dishonest, and caused thousands of dollars in damage without taking any responsibility.
After pack out for our move they charged $2,400 more than the “binding estimate,” even though they claim it’s binding and I conducted a thorough and accurate inventory with the International Van Lines representative. They basically hold your belongings hostage so you really have no choice but to pay.
We had to postpone our original delivery due to Hurricane Ian and they refused to partner with me to try and time our delivery so my family didn’t have to wait even longer for our belongings once our home was ready (we had been in temporary housing for 10 months). I gave them the delivery date more than a month in advance, but they reserve the right to deliver up to several weeks past the date you give them, even if you give them that date well in advance. Needless to say, they took advantage of this so they could charge us another month’s rent at $600.
Upon delivery, I was appalled at the condition of our boxes. All of them were crushed. The condition was so bad that they had to hand carry the contents of one of the boxes. They didn’t take off their shoes nor did they roll out any protective coverings for our flooring. I was demoralized when I found out that they caused thousands of dollars of damage including two flat screen TVs, a sectional, a sofa, a loft bed, and several missing boxes. Worst, we ended up paying around $13K for this move.
I immediately reported the damage and was referred to an absolutely incompetent third party to handle the moving claim. I followed their instructions meticulously and they found every excuse to delay the review of our file, almost certainly in hopes that I would just give up. The entire claims process took 3 months and in the end they offered $90. This whole situation is absolutely shameful and I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone.
