Bluebird Cargo Tracking

The absolute worst experience that we could have with the exception of a complete loss of goods. This is our third long distance move and by Metropolitan Movers was by far the worst.
We decided to go with Metropolitan, even though it was $2000 dollars more than the preferred moving company that my work uses for relocation for a move from Ontario to BC.
We paid for a dedicated load in a storage container at a fixed cost. We didn’t want our stuff to be handled more than loading at our old house and unloading in our new house to prevent damage or loss. A container was never secured and our stuff was delivered in two Uhaul trucks. There was other people’s stuff included in our belongings at the destination. The movers at the delivery location did not have the manifest so that we could check off the item numbers as it was loaded into our house. When the Uhaul was opened, many boxes were crushed because they were loaded on their sides. The representative doesn’t answer my texts, email or his phone. The runners that were to be used at the delivery point were soaked and would not protect our carpet. Boxes were wet from being transferred in Edmonton between trucks in the rain. The movers didn’t unwrap items at the delivery house and I had to get rid of the garbage at the pickup house. Beds and tables were not reassembled.
I am so disappointed in the service for the expense that this move cost. We went with the more expensive company so that our stuff would not get touched more than twice. In total, it was handled at least 5 times.
Don’t use this company, the service and value is complete garbage. Unfortunately we had to pay before they would deliver our stuff.
