Absolutely terrific experience coming here! Staff are always welcoming and helpful. Building always looks clean and orderly and there is usually not a line so service is fast! Had to come for passports once, and they handled it great! Definitely love this place and visit it often!

This is by far the WORST post office in the entire United States. They have misplaced not one but three of my packages and countless items of mail. The woman who delivers the packages to the Mountain’s Edge route appears to be a contractor and not a full time USPS employee; she drives a private vehicle, a white van. She is notorious for not delivering (stealing?) packages that can even remotely perceived to be of value.
Most recently, on October 1, 2015, I was expecting delivery of three packages all with USPS tracking numbers. Two packages were simply envelopes but one had an iPhone charger and USB cable in it. The woman delivered the two envelopes but failed to deliver the iPhone charger/cable. Quite stupidly, some Amazon/eBay vendors have lately been labeling the contents of the packages. The USPS tracking number for the iPhone charger/cable shows it delivered but I never received that package. I complained to the postmaster at the Russell location but she was absolutely zero help. The postmaster claimed that the mail-woman was pretty sure that she delivered the package to the right address. Yeah right! I have filed a complaint against this mail-woman with the USPS Inspector’s office.
On previous two occasions this woman has misplaced items that I had tracking numbers for: one package contained earrings and the other also contained jewelry. On both those occasions I filed complaints with the postmaster and the USPS inspector. On investigation resulted in the finding that the items were sent back to the business for not being delivered (the tracking information showed that the items were delivered to my address). The result of the other investigation are pending.
Seriously, this is what public service has come to in America?! We are now hiring contractors in positions of public trust without any proper background checks. How is it that items delivered to me by FedEx, UPS and even DHL are never misplaced or lost? But USPS, a public institution, is incapable of delivering my mail. I suppose USPS doesn’t care because they happen to be immune from lawsuits.
This specific USPS location is quite possibly the worst of all. I would give it zero stars if I could. I think I will have to get a PO Box at a different post office or always order items with private shipping or buy insurance for my items. I shouldn’t have to do so but I guess we citizens cannot trust the USPS anymore – who we pay for with our tax dollars – and we have no recourse to the law because the culprit in this case happens to be a government institute. I would seriously consider legal recourse against this particular post office and this mail-woman if the USPS wasn’t immune from lawsuits!
